as far as putting the 2 ends back on, use assembly lube to help from tearing the O rings. but as far as pressing it on you can set it on a jack and set the other side under your truck bumper or something tall enough to fit under it and slowly jack it up. that will press both sides in and give you a free hand to make sure its straight.

This is how I've been doing them. I end up using the hitch of my dakota p/u and a floor jack to push the ends on.
yep yep, i just raised the lift in the shop, set the cooler between one of the arms and the floor and just lowered it. they move real slow without a load so it worked out great. but since not everyone here has a car lift i figured id throw in the method that anyone can do lol
thanks guys, you all are alot of help for someone not familiar with these engines to allow them to do it themselves and not get ripped by some of the shops...dealer wanted to charge me 150 to do it,as i had them install a rear seal and do the oil pan on a engine outside the truck.i was gonna do the intake, frt cover, oil cooler.they were gonna charge me 350 to do intake,200 for the frt cover.i got them to do the rear seal, and oil pan for 185 parts included with sealant for pan,and then told them give me a price on the other stuff before they done it,and called me back and gave me those prices.makes me think they trying to make some back up off that stuff for doing it so reasonable....should have it back this morning, going to try to get it in this weekend, get this truck on the road, and make some money back.f450 rollback, bought it with a head gasket blown, bought a engine, truck has 230k on it,so figured replace the engine and it last me a while...i hope anyway.lol...i appreciate the help on this alot....great site with good people!!!
