i do appreciate the help, i hate being ignorante about somting, and i just don't know a lot about the 6.9. i love the truck and have high hopes, and big plans for it. I want to treat the motor and truck right, so it will treat me right when i am depending on it. This is by far the best forum i have ever used. great info and interesting discussions

Bigdave, You didn't start nothing that wasn't already boiling for the last few weeks, however your thread may very well be accredited the one that finally gets it rolled out and understood that it's ok to disagree as long as you agree to disagree.
That is also why this is the best damn place there is to be educated on Ford Trucks!
I'll tell ya, I've been using Bosch in my '91 here in Maine for about 5 years (hundreds of starts), never had a problem, just pulled them and they are perf! HOWEVER I also have Bosch's in my '86 that lasted less than a year and I'm now pulling the motor to pull the heads to get the broken tips out! I suspect it's the controller and or harness difference.
I'll be using Beru from now on.
