Question Cam install Questions

I think I have changed my mind on this truck more times than my wife changes curtains.. I have decided to put a heavier cam in my truck instead of waiting for turbos.. Question I have is.. The two cams I am thinking on are the Comp 260 cam. Or the Crane 268. Comp told me that the 260 would work with stock valve train.. The Crane 268 I think a whole pile of things popped up like Valve retainers, a tool you need machine head. Push rods, springs, and a couple of other things.. I have heard some good things about the crane 268. And someone told me that I only really needed to Get beefier springs and some molly rods? Anyone have any experiance with the 268 give me some advice? Thx..

Cam install Questions

I had the crane in a brand x I-6 and I had to put in screw in rocker studs, stiffer valve springs and valve retainers, and stronger rocker arms because I kept breaking the stock ones. However, I have not done this on a ford product; perhaps the rockers are of a better quality (most likley since every thing else seems to be). Good luck!
