so i noticed today there is a small leak coming fro ma metal hose on the driver side near the bottom..and how can i stop the power steering leak thats coming from where the res. meets the pump??
Well if it's an automatic the metal line on the bottom would be your transmission cooling lines. In most cases you are better off replacing the line then trying to patch it. Well if it's metal try JB weld, if it's plastic try some caulking that is impervious to oils and water. Or buy a new pump
I would agree with replacing the pump, years back I put a saginaw off a van on my bronco and never had any trouble with it.
the other leak could be either your tranny cooler lines, power steering pump lines, or even the cooler for your p/s that is on the crossmember. I would say its best just to replace it, as a compression fitting isn't near as good of a fix.
Muscletruck, Falcon A!! I'd love to see pics of your Falcon. My Dad is obsessed with round body Falcons, so it kinda rubbed off on me. But I still like the land yachts more, no replacement for displacement The Boss 144 just don't have the get up and go.
With the cooling lines you might get away with cutting out the bad part and putting a rubber line in place. Sometimes it causes other spots to blow through then, that's why I recommend just replacing them.
