I will throw a plug for the kenwood. I have the ddx 514 (no nav). But the dnx5140 has the nav (Garmin). The dnx 6140 and up have the nav built in, bluetooth and dual zone capability. Use the pie adapter swi-jack for basic functions on the wheel (works okay, but probably will not use it on next vehicle). I regret not getting the 6 or higher series because they just came out with a backup camera that actually has the guidance markers also (will not work with the 5 series). Install was relatively simple except problems with the pac adapter and remember to use resistors in line with the factory amp turn-on (the installer will know this already). Shoot some questions if you have them and I am sure others will chime in with other suggestions. Hope this helps, Mike.
i have an eclipse avn 5510. both the rear dvd and steering wheel controls are functional (via extra parts). i had a professional shop do the install. i also have the sirius module which allows me to everything on the head unit. it's a great unit, had it for many years. their newest one (avn726e) is the ***** from what i hear, but i can't justify getting rid of my perfecty good unit for a newer one. the only downside i see now, is that eclipse is no longer doing consumer sales....they are focusing on just toyotas, which they are the navigation supplier for. if i had to go to another brand, the pioneer avic z110bt looks pretty neat.
