Look at pg 88, 89 it is for the 2005 Super Duty wiring of the gen2 system which is the part # I gave you. Ford screwed things up in their system a which is why they will say it's not the right one.
I too had the ford gold installed as part of the deal when I got the 03 and 05 Ex...
Won't have another vehicle without a remote start
I actually like it better in summer than in winter (course I live in HOT Texus)
b4 leaving vehicle,
set the rear fan speed to full, crack a rear window just enough to vent the hot air,
and when remote started, it cools off a LOT faster than it warms up in the winter
That's when you set the seat warmer on before leaving
good luck...
oh, and ditto on the 2 way... next one I put on will certainly have 2 way communication to let me know it started....
my neighbors has an led on his that shows smoke coming out the exhaust when his starts !!!!!! SO cool
I have had a Viper 2 way on my '05 for about 2 years...no problems what so ever. It has 4 Aux outputs IIRC, maybe 6. Installing RS on diesels is really not that big of a deal as most now have inputs for WAIT TO START or at least a time delay (what I used on mine). I had some issues with the door triggers and had to use a module from Directed Electronics to get things working right. I've heard folks say they used their dome light signal as the door trigger input but it just wouldn't work right on mine. Also, I purchased the Tach module from Ford to get a clean tach signal from under the dash rather than splicing into an injector wire. My truck has never failed to start due to cold weather and has never died after starting.
Astrostart with aux button here too. Next time 2 way. Up north we have lots of vehicles on them here, very popular. Same as texas, even better in the heat of summer... cool them seats down a bit.
