Probably a dead spot in the window motor.

Any chance the window lock button is pushed part way?

fist thing i would try right off quick;
open the door and try the window then.
if no luck,wiggle the rubber wire hose that feeds into the door between the hinges.
do you see a bad spot it in where the wire got chafed or anything?

no plastic to cut and close into the door for tonight?

dont have a window lock button... i have pressed on both switches more times than i wanna count... if you put a test light on the switch on the drivers side, you get light for up and for down and for steady power... go to pass side, no power anywhere on the window switch, but there is power on the door lock switch next to it.

My passenger window will do that once in a great while. I believe it's a burnt spot on the motor but I'm not real sure. Usually it will just start working again on it's own. If you're in a bind you might try using a floor mat to cover the opening for the night. Sorry can't be more help.
