Passenger window went down now wont come back up... test light shows power at drivers side, nothing at pass side... can i jump it out or somethign to get it back up tonight??? or is there a way to ohm out the motor and know if it is still good???? please help!!! I really dont wanna shoot a buncha cats being as i just cleaned it from top to bottom!!!!!!!!!!
BUT if it were the fuse, then why does the Passenger side window switch on the drivers side have power? twere da fuse then would it not be dead there too? it is seperate feeds for the different windows in the drivers door...
fist thing i would try right off quick;
open the door and try the window then.
if no luck,wiggle the rubber wire hose that feeds into the door between the hinges.
do you see a bad spot it in where the wire got chafed or anything?
no plastic to cut and close into the door for tonight?
dont have a window lock button... i have pressed on both switches more times than i wanna count... if you put a test light on the switch on the drivers side, you get light for up and for down and for steady power... go to pass side, no power anywhere on the window switch, but there is power on the door lock switch next to it.
i have done it door opened, door closed, driving down smooth highway, and just for the hell of it down a rough butted back road, all with the same result... nada
dont have any plastic that i can get to in the dark... need light to move the stuff in the way... my storage building/workshop is still in the stone age...
My passenger window will do that once in a great while. I believe it's a burnt spot on the motor but I'm not real sure. Usually it will just start working again on it's own. If you're in a bind you might try using a floor mat to cover the opening for the night. Sorry can't be more help.
i stuck the trusty multimeter on it, got .000 across the contacts... dangit... add it to the list... btw anyone know where a good head for a 242 is??? hehehe
