I have a mac and was wondering if any tuners have trouble connecting to them to "get" the tunes from the computer.
If you do just get the parrallels program and get Windows 7 OS to run of it. I have heard more often the not people having something that doesn't work just quite right off of the mac, but that program will make it think it's on a windows computer.

I woudn't get it for Fuel Economy. For the most part, most of these are peformance enhancers first and foremost. That's what you should get it for. If you see MPG improvements then great, if you don't, that's alright as long as the performance is better then it was stock.

Again, I wouldn't get it unless you have some run to play with it. And that's actually for a couple of reasons. 1. 6.0s are extremely picky about the tuners that you can put on them. They tend to only like well written custom tunes, which tend to cost more in the beginning then your off the shelf tuners. Also shift on the fly might seem like a fun ability to have, it's mutually exclusive from properly tuning the vehicle. 2. Like I said before, they are performance enhancers, the "fun factor" is going to cost you.
This is not something that I would do with a 6.0 owner on a budget, particularly if you chose the wrong tuner.
Hey thank for the response. I have this question then. If I am getting an EGR delete kit, and I want to get rid of the engine light and code for the delete if I even get one. wouldnt it benifit me "money" wise to get a tuner anyway the difference in price is just a small ammount.

Well if you are doing something that takes out the EGR then you are going to have to get a tuner with custom tunes to let the truck "know" that it doesn't need to be looking for the EGR system. In that case, yes it would be worth it for you to get a custom tuner.
i have 2 mac's but whenever it comes to SCT and tunes i barrow someones PC.
also something i've always wondered is that if you have custom tunes and then delete your EGR but never get any check engine lights can you keep running the tune. as long as the truck runs just as good? or do you need to switch to your EGR off tunes all the time? seems like some 6.0's get the lights and others don't....

EGR flow/performance code may or may not set a light though. I think that depends more on the strategy flash that a vehicle has.
