My truck was recently stolen it's a F 150 98. The stearing coloum and most of the wiring was rip out from underneath. I'm short on cash since I had to buy a new car. I was wondering is there a book that can show me how to fix all the wiring or any advice on what to do
I would go to junk yard to get the replacement stuff you need . While there look at how every thing is hooked up (even take pitchers) . You can ever get the right color of any part damaged and in need of replacement.
Just some comments:
Your getting into a deep repair that even a dealer may get tripped up on and have difficulty in solving.
Your working with communications between the PATS system, the PCM and the dash.
You can't change out the PATS, the dash or the PCM unit without a reprogram.
If the cabling has issues, you may never get it solved.
Normally, insurance takes care of the job.
I wish you the best of luck.
The dummies that thought they could jump start it got fooled. It's to complex a system to be defeated very often.
