Welcome to September & happy birthday to anyone celebrating one this month!
Thank you Jim for doing the thread. I didn't even realize yesterday was the 1st until late lastnight.
TGIF... it's been a very hectic, stressful & emotional week dealing with things related to my oldest granddaughter, Athena. I'm sooo ready for it to be over, yet I'm not looking forward to Monday when Athena is supposed to go back to the unsafe/unhealthy living environment at her dads. I love being an EMT, but not a mandated reporter! Especially when it involves a child.
Please pray for us & Athenas safety that Monday goes as smooth as possible when her dad comes to get her, because she's not going anywhere!(unless the cops say otherwise) It's gonna get extremely ugly & hopefully no one gets hurt or goes to jail!
On a different note...I have a go to DMV today t enew my drivers license. YEAH....Sanity! Atleast I'll have some time for myself. Lol

Donna no worries on the Sept thread. At least I spelled it right this time (Misspelled Sept in the Nor Cal Chapter, had to get Pat to change it. LOL) As for your situation with your oldest grand daughter, my prayers will go out to the both of you.

Happy Friday Everyone. Our thoughts & prayers are with you & the whole situation Donna. I like going to the DMV & Tommy even likes it better. He gets many treats. We have a great office here with wonderful ladies to deal with.

Any plans for today?
We are hoping to take a ride to Woodfords, CA. to get Lottery tickets since the weather is nice & it won't be windy. Now that FLAMEN is fixed, I want to take it out for a longer ride to see how it really does.
On a different note... Athena went back to her dads yesterday(not my choice). Everyone we've contacted to help is dragging their feet, so Cammy didn't have a choice. I did have my Pastor pray over all of us shortly after dedicating the grandkids to God. So, I think that helped ease the tension a bit when Athena went with her dad. Please keep us in your thoughts & prayers while we're going through all this... thanks!
My 48th birthday was great! We had freinds over for a tri tip smoked bbq & swimming, then later we went down to the local bar for my free birthday drink. I had 1 "Yummy" & that's all it took. Lol! I was down for the count as soon as we got home & my head hit the pillow. And the best part....no hangover the next day!
