I need to dito what Jay just said, goes for me too.
I do not know the symptons of the Malibu. She took it to a mechanic in Fargo and they said it was leaking from the right head gasket. I have not seen it myself.
I learned today that that is really common for that year Malibu.
I have had many GM 3.1 & 3.8 engines in my life and have only good things to say, maybe just lucky. My niece has had problems with both 3.1's she has had. I think it is the driver, because both have had coolant issues.
My friend has been on three tours in Iraq, so he is pretty tough. I think he will be just fine.
I think he will be just fine if he made it through all that!!

So Lee have you had 3 of those motors or more? Its ok if you need to use your toes to count!
I think I will be able to make a visit to the camping GTG on Fri, but proably won't be able to stay overnight.
My nieces car has a bad head gasket supposidly yesterday, and I may need to go get it on Friday. She is in Fargo.
I don't really want to change the head gasket on it, lots of work and I have never done a head gasket on any newer vehicles.
Anyone got any ideas on a easy fix, example: egg in the radiator?
It is a chevy Malibu, 2002.
I had a 2001 Malibu with a 3.1 and it was the intake manifold. They are the weakest link on the 3.1.......
