anyone hear of this. reason i ask is that i have having to turn my key to start all the way clockwise until it bottoms out and then wait 1 second until it will turn the engine over and start. i adjusted it yesterday a little and its a lot better but if this is the case maybe i should replace it. http://www.fourdoorbronco.com/board/...ead.php?t=5221
no open recalls but doesnt say if its just because my truck is to old to be on a recall. i know there was a recall on the fuel pumps, the the previous owner didnt take care of, therefore it cost me to fix it because it was to late. any way mine was not working to good so i replaced it. hey $10.00 what the heck. works great now, besides everything wears out in time.
well there was a fuel pump recall on my year and it doesnt show up. i remember calling them and they said it expired after 10 years. ofcourse it was 10 & 1/2 years when i called. ii found out about it couple months after i bought the truck. to bad the previous owner didnt take care of it. it would of saved me $178.00 plus all the work i had to do. oh well that all in the past.
Yup, safety recalls are still valid, and the dealership SHOULD pay for it. My 89 still has this ignition switch recall on it, and when i talked to the dealer last summer, they said bring it in, and theyd do it, no charge.
