2000 ford ranger shift problem
I have a 2000 ford ranger extended cab 3L v6 automatic, speedometer is not working, overdrive off light is flashing and the truck is not shifting out of first gear properly. I changed the speed censor on the back axel. I am confused can anyone offer what to do

Those symptoms as a whole do point to the speed sensor. did you clean the area off good before you poped the sensor back in. I wonder if after you pull the codes if you reset the pcm if that might help. just curious did you check your rearend fluid level while you were there..........I also vaguely remeber reading something about 2 wiring harmesses that are right next to the fuel filter that can get contaminated......

Also when you say the speedo does not work do you mean it does not work at all or that it is erratic
