Hood protector, bug deflector ?

My new 2010 Escape XLT I have not put a hood protector on it. Bug season is starting now and I was inquiring if anyone has one on there Escape and what brand it is and does it help with bugs on the windshield at all. Or just for looks and to protect the hood leading edge.

2010 Ecape XLT V6 auto FWD
