She's been basically sittin' for two years so I could focus on finishing my degree and I graduated and moved back home today! It wasn't long before I had to at least hear my '73 run. Put a battery in and with just a little coaxing, she fired right up "buggity buggity..." Changed the oil, replaced an accessory belt, fixed a fuel leak and welded an exhaust hanger, took 'er off storage insurance and she's ready for the road again! I've been driving a 4 cylinder Ranger for 2 years and I had forgot what torque felt like! I love that truck..
Good to hear man! I just got a tag and insurance for mine yesterday, it hasn't been on the road in over a year! Hopefully that will change today! By the way, I still LOVE your truck!
As a university administrator, I first say congratulations!!! Education is a great asset for your future success. As a Ford lover, I say COOL!!! Go drive ! :-)

Just finished my Air Traffic Management degree and gonna find a temp job and start a business degree online while I wait on the FAA to call. Won't be long and I'll be able to buy that 514 Super Cobra Jet for the '73 they have displayed at the Summit Racing store!

Thanks! It's stock manifolds, dual 2.5" pipe, Xcelerator mufflers and of course some chrome tips. It also has 3" Quick Time Performance electric cutouts to scare away the 5.0 stangs.

Thanks! It was hard to let 'er sit. I did however get a chance to drive it to school one time. Took my gf of 2 years on our first date in it. She got in, I cranked it and she said "ooh, it's cammin'" I knew right then I'd keep er around a while!
Everyone else, thanks for the props! My dad and I worked hard on it to get it where it is when I was younger. I'm glad to see the my plans have panned out nicely and I will be able to give it even more attention and all with deeper pockets!
Congrats on the great accomplishments...Very Nice truck...me want one....makes me really think about just leaving my stock manifolds on my '78 F100 instead of swapping out to the headers...it sounds GREAT...
Pops always said for the power gain, the headaches aren't worth it. Says they all leak, haha. I'm sure it would get a little louder (not that I need it louder with the cutouts) but I can't help but believe him.
headers suck and 1/2 tons don't break:flipoff: just giving you chit. everytime i drive my truck instead of my pos cavalier the torque makes me giddy as a school girl, i'd love to have a nice 2x4 like yours
