Decoding driverside door sticker
Hey all, I needed to get the paint code off my 2005 F250 and found that the paint code was JM. I looked at the rest of the information on the sticker and some were obvious but others are just numbers and letters. Is there a chart that explains how to decode 2005 model? I ran a search but could not find anything. wb 156 (wheel base) gvwr 9800 (gross vehical),
ext pnt JM (exterior paint color), int tr 8H (interior color) are the ones that were easy. Looking for the following: R 1, AXEL 3L, TR B, SPR YYFF
and in the upper right corner there is 5F710 and under it reads NOA and lower right corner has UCT or UTC don't remember the order.

Axle 3L = 3:73 Limited Slip differential gearing
TR B = 5 speed Torqshift (diesel engine)
SPR = YYFF suspension springs code
Not sure on the rest.

There is nothing to help decode the stickers, you just have to remember them.
Is your truck a Crew Cab short bed 2wd with the 6.0L diesel and 5R110 auto tranny?
I can't tell you everything that's on there but:
EXT PNT: JM - LARIAT (954) Dark Toreador Red Clearcoat
INT TR: 8H - LARIAT (Crew Cab) Leather Seating Surfaces 40/20/40 Split
Bench Tan
AXLE: 3L - 3.73 limited slip rear axle X3L
R: 1 - Premium Electronic AM/FM Stereo/In-Dash 6-Disc CD/Clock
DSO: 5F710 is the District Sales Order code or something like that.
SPR: YYFF are spring codes, front YY rear FF, I can't remember what rating a Y or an F is though.
TR: B is the Transmission code. TorqShift™ 5-Spd Auto. B is the bell pattern and updated internals for the 6.0L Diesel.

Thanks all, you have been very helpful n578md. And bpounds, you were correct about the link BPofMD slapped my hand a little. I always read those links and as stated, they stop at 04. Now it's 2010. maybe the powers to be could updated the closed link.
