Sorry, never heard of it but I do run the Motorcraft brand cetane booster (I've been told it's repackaged stanadyne but I don't know for sure) and I can tell a diff. in the sound of my truck using it. There is alot less "clack" when running it so it must be doing something. I have never compared fuel mileage with or without it so I can't say if it helps there but I believe in it.
Sorry, I forgot to add that my truck starts quicker since I started using it too. It never was hard to start ,but I notice it starts REALLY FAST whe using it.
Considering the immense pressure all manufacturers are under to improve fuel economy.... if burning Oil of Olay will do 10% fuel economy improvement... it will be required fuel for the next year!
That kind of improvement is just not possible --- unless it is to mask / cover up / solve some other pre-existing defect.
e.g. sticky injectors, etc.
Car makers are now fighting over 1 to 2% gains from using thinner oil, higher tire pressures, thinner tires, etc.
They would just about kill for 10% from an additive.
I will take that as a good thing!?!?! Diesel Kleen can be had almost anywhere, including Wally World. And it is not too expensive for an additive that provides a cetane boost and lubricity. Cool, thanks.
