I did this on my truck today. I did not notice much noise difference. Should I notice a lot more?

I wouldnt say you notice ALOT more noise difference when i drove it there was a little difference but it isnt super loud by any means..at least for me.
When i did my 6637 a few weeks ago i really didnt notice any difference to the turbo sounds like i heard you would. Then after like a week i started to actually notice swooshing sounds and different pitches and a constant whistle at interstate speeds..pretty cool. Listen up for it.

What did you use to remove all the adhesive off of the tube, I am having a hard time getting this stuff loose. I will purchase some goof off or something similar and try again this weekend. Project looks great.

I used some gasket remover spray that I had laying around the garage. I have heard that a good paint thinner will work as well. The gasket remover spray worked very well. I have used goof off before but not on this. IMO, the gasket stuff worked better based on past experiences with goof of.

Many thanks my friend. I will get on that this weekend. It doesn't look good in its current state.

One thing I forgot to mention. I also used a plastic trawl to scrape off the gunk. I didn't want to scratch the metal too much.

haha yeah that thing was dirty the PO was a firefighter so i think when he wasnt on a call he was washing the outside of the truck..not the engine though. I got in there with some simple green and a brush and washed it the other week and went over some of the parts with armor all so its shiner.
