Yeah. Thats the biggest issue I use body moulding tape on the piece that came off and the back of it is definately not smooth. I sanded quite a bit to make it smooth but its just too rotted out.

i'm guessing that the molding is rotted out...? if that's the case you really only have 2 options...

1.) remove all molding and buff truck so there isn't any fade in the paint.

2.) go to LMC and buy new side molding and put in on!
