Just bought a 1965 F-150 long bed, standard cab, V8. This truck is very nearly PERFECT. Recent, original color repaint, perfect bed, original rubber floor mat, owners manual, license plates, keys with Dealer ID. This truck has never seen snow and never will. The only thing not original are the tires and seat covers. I even got the Dealers Sale receipt This truck is my dream come true. It has never been in a fender bender or molested in any way. I've spent the last 3 days looking for rust and haven't found any yet.
I'm looking to all you experts to keep me rolling.
Yea, Id like to know that also
I got my pretty much free
My uncle had 2... was selling to me for 600 bucks
both in good shape and ran/drove.
My friend wanted one, sold him the worse one for 500.
My uncle came down to 500 so I got mine free. lol
I've got 25 bucks in a front right fender, and $50 in a perfect bed. lol
I paid 5K for this truck and well worth it. It has 84,000 original miles. I would post some photos, but I don't know how to do it. Image instructions asks for a internet address....how is that done?
Welcome to FTE.
Some of those rust areas are the core support right behind the headlights, cab corners, front fender where it attaches to cab on the bottom, lower door skins, front of bed behind the cab, floorpans on the outboard corners, front cab supports, and the roof line above the drip rail.
I would inspect these closely and look for body filler.
Sounds like you might have gotten a good deal.
To post pictures, you have to wait until FTE has finished the conversion from the old format. Once done, your user info from here will be used to access the User gallery. Then you can create an album.
Sounds like a very sweet deal. I just bought a truck with all the extras too, though not quite as nice. It's been repainted once, and a boat fell on it (really) but it has very little rust and is unmolested.
