Rare find

There's a truck for sale locally and I'm curious what people think the value is for a truck like this. 1978 F150 4x4, 351 modified, 4 speed, shortbed, 3.50 gears, 12,xxx original miles, stored in a climate control facility for 20-some years, looks new, zero rust, underneath is very clean, factory paint is excellent, bed looks like it's never been used, all the chrome is nice, interior perfect. Hard to find anything wrong except for it has a set of bedrails installed, later model rims and what looks like aftermarket chrome exhaust tips. Any educated guesses as to what this truck is worth?

Value Explanations
Low Retail Value
This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".

Note: This value does not represent a "parts car".
Average Retail Value
This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A "20-footer".
High Retail Value
This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. Note: This value does not represent a "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle *.
* "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle is not driven. It would generally be in a museum or transported in an enclosed trailer to concourse judging and car shows. This type of car would be stored in a climate-regulated facility.

I throw the NADA book in the garbage. It is a good start for a rough idea for a price for a vehicle, BUT if this truck is as exceptionally clean as you are stating with factory 12,000 miles it is worth what a true FORD nut would spend. Myself, judging by your description would be lookin more around 10 to 12000.00 bucks.

It is in the eye of the buyer and the thickness of his wallet!!
