I'm getting a '59 flatbed as a parts truck. It has the "Custom Cab" emblem on each door. What does this mean? I've heard people talk about it a lot on here but other than the badge what's different. This truck looks exactly like my other '59 and '60 and neither of those have the custom cab badge. All 3 have the small rear window not wrap-around.
i think it was mainly a trim package that included more chrome and fancier stuff. thats not a very good answer but im sure someone else will be along with the details
Custom cab for 1959 got you a
thicker seat with a different pattern,
white steering with horn-ring,
different gauge bezel,
chrome grille and custom cab emblems,
drivers door lock,
two tone paint(not mandatory but optional only on custom cabs),
stainless around the front window(all big back windows came with stainless, custom cab or not)
I believe it also included dual visors as well.
Checked the pics again and it does have key locks on both doors, which is great! Has chrome grill but so do many other non-customs from that year. No windshield trim but someone might have just taken it off.
Only thing I really care about is the locks on both sides.
