Question badging

I have seen several trucks with badging on the tailgate that say "F150" and under that it says "7700". This is one of those plastic badges that stick to the metal and the F150 and 7700 is all one badge. This isnt two seperate badges. What does the "7700" stand for. Also the trucks that wear the badging have 6 lug wheels. They must be a heavy half. kurt

Those are heavy duty F150's. They have a 7700lb GVW. They are actually 7 lug wheels.
The earlier ones were badged as F250LD's.
These trucks are in between a F150 and F250SD which has a 8800 GVW

It is odd, but true. I had never seen one until I saw these trucks either.
