351 supercharger?

ok guys heres my plans, i wanna get a 351 efi, rebuilt it, put a mid cam in in it (my truck's MAF) and put a supercharger on it. my question to you is what would be the best supercharger for my truck? im not too informed on them so any help would be great. i plan to tow with it some but would also like some power to play with.

Powerdynes are good if you want a mild, easy, no fuss bolt on. A Vortech is years ahead, though. I know someone selling a very nice used Powerdyne setup for regular F-150's I was interested in for my Lightning, but I'm going the NOS route.

That totally depends on what your engine can handle and what supercharger you're using with what impellers and pulleys.

Back in the 60s Shelby American used to advertise 46% more on a small block Ford. I
would expect it is somewhere around 30-35% depending on the engine. I would strongly
advise building the engine with premium components throughout if you are going add a
supercharger. Also make sure the static compression ratio and cam are compatable
with a supercharger.

A good rule of thumb is 14 horsepower for every 1 pound of boost.

If you build the engine to be SC , with forged pistons & some good rods & a vortech SC with the right amount of boost you could get close to 50% increase i would think ....Lew
