Will somebody please tell me about this supercharger and if they have put this on their super duty. I Have a lifted 2013 6.2 and I just want some more power. Obviously I don't do much hauling (none). The Rotrex supercharger seems way more affordable than Whipple and i just want something for more "umph" and my X4 programmer isn't really cutting it.
That supercharger is a centrifugal one, basically a mechanically driven turbocharger. The thing with that, and turbos, is they need time to spool, more at lower RPM decreasing to none as the engine speeds up.
The Whipple design supercharger is a positive displacement and essentially can build boost right off idle. The downside to this system is less efficiency at higher RPM versus turbos or the rotrex.
Buy the power adder you want and make sure you find a good tuner (person.)
So is it okay to get a Rotrex just for more power when I'm not actually gonna use it? By that I mean, I don't haul and really I have a work truck I use most of my day and can for personal use to. I may drive my truck 100 miles all week to the gym and back.

Depending on your pulley and bypass valve setup a centrifugal blower will make boost at low RPM as well. There is no lag with a centrifugal blower. The boost is a curve rather than flat like a positive displacement blower
Thank you gentlemen, I do appreciate your knowledge. I've heard of Roush but when I typed in superchargers in various places I did not see one. Whipple was the big one but in no means am I spending $9,000 on one of these things. Im no expert on this stuff so I came to you guys. If it's too much hassle and needs too much expertise and has to be done by professionals, it'll be a no go because this area has none in this particular topic. Again, I appreciate the replies guys, thank you for taking your time to help me out.
