You're not the only one to have voiced the opinion. I've heard it from other people. I'm merely explaining to those who don't live in a land populated with good metal why someone who brings it to you may charge what is seen as 'too much'.

Rust free hoods can be bought here in LA LA Land for less than 50 bucks, cuz they're a dime a dozen.
Since the demand here is slim and none, most get crushed along with the truck.
But what the shipping charges would be to NC, I dunno.
