You're not the only one to have voiced the opinion. I've heard it from other people. I'm merely explaining to those who don't live in a land populated with good metal why someone who brings it to you may charge what is seen as 'too much'.
FWIW, I did not buy either of my replacement hoods from him. I've got spies everywhere that locate them for me!

Rust free hoods can be bought here in LA LA Land for less than 50 bucks, cuz they're a dime a dozen.
Since the demand here is slim and none, most get crushed along with the truck.
But what the shipping charges would be to NC, I dunno.

Do you have a source, Bill? At $50.00 it would be a lot better to buy one than fix the cancer on the front of mine. I look on craigslist pretty often but haven't found a good one for that cheap.

Try Pick-a-Part...Ecology Auto Parts in Santa Fe Springs. The last time I was there, two of this era trucks were in the yard.
