Introducing myself...

Greetings,

At first click, I knew this board was a wealth of information, possibly a few good jokes, and maybe even some tips on baking catfish. So here I am: a registered member.

42, happy, 1 girlfriend, 1 cat, 1 boat, and 2 ford trucks - what could be better?

The truck I am here for is a '57 f-100 shortbed. 95.7% orig. Runs but won't stop or shift. 2 million miles, even more rust, and almost 50 years of family history. (The other truck, '82, v6, short, is looking for a good home.)

I hope to whip this '57 back into shape for a 50 year reunion drive down route 66 to Ar. AND BACK! (under it's own power) I have 4 years, right?

However, at second click, I found no "Clutch" forum. If one were to be needing to ask a question about ones clutch, where might one post such a question?

I know I am in a "black sheep" group of truck owners, but I didn't know that we could throw stone's back. Before peeking my head in here I thought we just had to take the abuse and hang our heads in the shame we so rightfully deserved. Ha!, I have already learned something.

So where's the clutch forum?

Enjoy, Stylesider!

Anyone in here with this same year truck is my new best friend.

Hello welcome to FTE! I beleve your clutch question would be included in the axle and transmission forum I beleve. I used to have a 1956 Fairlane is that close enough?

Welcome to FTE Stylesider !

We have a Complete Drivetrain forum without the word clutch on the page.Perhaps I'll add clutch to the title.

Here is the link:

Bentkey,

At this point a 1937 Morris Minor owner could be the best man at my next wedding. You are close enough to be included in my last will and testiment. (37 back issues of "Life" magazines, how's that grab you? )

Mil1lion,

I went ahead and took the risk of being told I was in posting in the wrong forum and am happy to hear I was correct. Thanks for the confirmation. (I'll sleep better tonight)

Break out the case of Kroil, Stylesider.
