Hub centric rings

Hello all!

I've recently found out the aftermarket (eagle alloy) wheels that are on my truck are lug centric, not hub centric. I don't have any vibrations or shaking but I figured it would still be beneficial to add hub centric rings just to transfer some of the load to the hubs rather than it all being on the wheel studs. The trouble I'm running into is finding the size ring I need and what companies sell them. Has anyone else bought a set or have any helpful hints/suggestions? Anything will be much appreciated.

-Clay

Edit: When I searched on here I found virtually nothing, unfortunately

I haven't yet but it's on the to-do list for tomorrow. I just started looking around this afternoon. Thanks for the suggestion

Yep. They are the ones in the pictures. Here's a link to the AE site showing a better picture:

Well Eagle Alloy never responded but I did get ahold of one of their retailers. According to them I don't need to worry about adding centric rings as they usually don't add them to 3/4 pickups, especially 8 lug wheels. Only time they saw a use for them was for 22" and up wheels diameters and 5 or 6 lug wheels that experienced vibrations and/or shaking.

After talking with the gentleman at the retail shop, he said it was really worth having the rings installed as he hasn't used them on any of his 3/4 or 1 ton trucks

we run what i posted on our tractor trailer...bigger of course.they are perfect..no shake and the tires last alot longer..the one i posted for you gets pinched between the wheel and the hub...thats what holds it in place..not so much the lugs...im going to get a set of them from Dennis at ITP some day for my PSD...

Great Link/info Ron, most people never even heard of lug centric or know what it means. My Old Toyota Tacoma had lug centric wheels and I had trouble finding a shop in town that even knew how to balance them correctly nor had the wheel spin balancer adapter that is supposed to be used when they are being spin balanced. I finally found a Discount Tire store here in town that had the lug centric adapter for the spin balancer. But I never knew they made centramatic wheel balancers that could be purchased and installed on lug centric wheels. Kudos

Anyone know of aftermarket wheel mfg's that offer hubcentric wheels? I am looking for 20x9.5 or 20x10. Thanks

You can do a search for some, but you might only find one or two. Almost everything these days (especially aftermarket) is lug-centric.
