I replaced all the o-rings when I installed the new injectors. I had a couple that were leaking after I fired her back up. I replaced the o-rings on two that were leaking and it fixed those, but I still have two that are leaking. I replaced the o-rings on those again and still leaking. I am wondering if the caps could be defective, or does it take a couple days driving to allow those o-rings to seat properly?
They should seal right up, if not something else is wrong ...
Did you assemble with Vasoline??
Are the caps NEW ... Did you put an Injector Installation Kit on??
If you didn't, do so, If you did, did you carefully inspect each new cap for flashing or defects??
Are you sure it's the o-rings/caps and not a cracked injector line??
The new injectors will throw off your timing, you need to take your truck in and have the timing reset. Even after that, you may still notice a bit more rattle than before the injectors.
Do I need to get the timing reset right away? What is the disadvantage of not getting the timing reset? Like I mentioned, it seems to be a little advanced. Thanks again for all the info.
