Hi everyone! I have been working M-F 8am till 8pm and it seems a few more weeks left until I get caught up. Saturday I changed my oil and fuel filters when I noticed my rims. Salt has been hard on then and the front rims are black..What can I do to fix them up?
The best and only stuff I use to get off that old black crap is (Eagle One) They make a few kinds but the strongest I have found is the one that says(Etching Mag Cleaner)
You spray it on heavy, let stand for 1 min or so(do not let dry and do when your wheels are cold!) Then I use a soft brush , work it around and rinse away.(rinse with lots of water!
You may have to repeat if it doesnt get it all the first time.
I use it on my chrome, polished aluminum and my stock wheels. Works great.
If your wheels are clear coated or painted, DO NOT USE the Etching Mag Cleaner, it will eat the layers of protection away. Aside from that it cleans aluminum engine parts very nicely...
