Rims

okay been looking a set of rims for my 97, found a nice looking set of rims on evilbay 16x8 rebel racing wheels they were the 5x135 but the compatibility thang said they would not fit the 97 f-150 4x4 xlt... am i wrong by thanking that they are 5 on 135?

also any suggestions on were to find decent looking 16" rims that wont break the bank?

they should be the metric 5 lug pattern from 97 all the way to when they changed body styles (04?) and went to the metric 6 lug sheot on the newest trucks.

Drill the holes out a few sizes and put some washers under the lug nuts.

Wheel mounting surface is 6 mm twards the back of the rim, measuring from the center of the width..

Correct...

a positive offset would make the rims stick out farther from the rims centerline. Negative would make the rim sit a little more under the truck.

6mm is roughly 1/4" which I dont think will matter one way or the other.

in other words a -25 would set a inch closer to the frame rails than a 0 offset would?

and then a 25 offset would set roughly a inch farther out the fender wheels than a 0 would?

if so....

this calculator is showing the exact opposite...

Well, than, kris is backwards....

I explained it right, - offset moves the wheel mounting surface closer to the back of the rim(sticks out the fender more) and+ moves it to the front side to the rim (closer to the frame)
