brake problem?

I have a '99 explorer 5.0 AWD. 187,000 miles. I have noticed that vehicle strarted to pull to the right while on the highway. The first thing that I checked was the air pressure in the tires. I noticed that the right side tires had about 3psi more than the left. (40psi left, 43psi right) I used a non-contact infrared thermometer to check the temperature of the rotor. The right side rotors front and rear were close to 100 deg F hotter than the left after driving. I removed the brakes on all 4 corners and checked the pads, they are good. I greased the rails on all 4 corners. I removed the calipers and the pistons feel free on all 4 corners, none of the pistons seem to be harder to push in. I have not yet opened the bleeder screws on the right side to see if the hoses are bad. I was hoping that someone had experienced this problem before. It may not even be a brake problem, but something else causing them to get hot.

I though that it may be a ABS problem, but there is only one brake line that runs to the rear. If the vehicle was out of alignment would it cause this problem.

Also, I did not put a mic on them but the pads on the right side did not look worn worse than the left

Dragging brakes will heat the rotors, so will dry or miss adjusted bearings..

The tire pressures would not suggest a pull to the right, but rather a pull to the left so I don't think that is your issue. I agree with Aquanaut20 that the problem is likely dragging brakes or a wheel bearing issue. Since you seem to be pretty conscious of changes in the way your vehicle handles, the issue may not have gone on long enough to show a noticeable wear in the braking material from dragging brakes yet.

If, like most people, you haven't been flushing the brake fluid regularly, it might be time for new hoses and a brake system flush. If nothing else that would help prolong the life of your ABS system.

I was first thinking that it wasn't a coincidence that both front and rear right side brakes had a problem, but it may be. I will check the hoses today and see if that is the problem. thanks for the input
