Looks like a regular third row seat with a different bracket, easy to make if you ask me and junk yards get $40 for a 3rd row seat around here...But for me its not worth it,I barely use the third row but for for those needing a 4th row, make it yourself and save some cabbage..

I had one of those in my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee as a third row. Imagine traveling from Texas to Alaska with the wife and 4 kids inside, a fully loaded car top carrier, and a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer dragging behind!

It fit great for 5-year olds and below but I didn't like the fact it was behind the rear axle and they would get crushed if someone rear-ended me.

Mine came with one, it is smaller then the third row bench, and there is about 6" of leg room. My son loved it the one time he rode in it before i took it out. Now it just sits in the basement.

I would think he felt like he was in time out, facing the back window....I guess if the windows are dark enough it wouldnt be so bad staring at people behind you...But like the one guy stated and I agree it wouldnt be good if someone rearended the vehicle really hard..It is a option for more room tho..

Reminds me of the 83 Caprice Classic Wagon that I grew up with.

If you lived closer, I would be happy to help you make some space in your basement.

I looked at this idea - and then bought a 3rd row seat that a buddy was going to weld-up a simple frame. When we looked closer, we did not like the idea of the back to back seats and the lost space. We felt it was safer to just tie-down kid carseats to the back of the 3rd row seat. It leaves more crunch zone and gets their heads down lower. Some heavy duty winch straps make this an easy job and are 10x more solid than the typical carseat straps that most never get tight.

Just my 2 cents.
