I happen to love my stacks. I have 5" Aussies- see my pics in my garage. I only run a Stock+ tune, @ 20 HP so no issue with bellowing black smoke. As far as drone, it will do that. Mine will around 2200, pretty loud around those rpms but doing 65-70 on the hiway I'm looking at 16-1700 rpms, and its really not that bad. Alot of times I'll even roll down the back windows b/c I love the way it sounds. Yes there is a hole in my bed. Big deal. I wasn't planning on getting rid of it any time soon- by the time I do the bed might be rotted off of it anyways. Just wanted to offer another opinion. OBTW, I'm 42, not 16 had them for 2.5 yrs now, no hassles. Just don't drive like a jackass. My trip home from work takes me right past our police station, and I've passed many officers, and I haven't been pulled over. If I drive like a jerk I expect I might.
hey can you install a stack if your bed has a bedliner in it or will it ruin the bedliner?
If it's spray on you should be fine. If it's a plastic one then there might be issues with things getting in betwen the liner and the metal due to the holes for the pipes. Especially true if you haul fertilizer in the bed, that can eat metal really quick when it get's some moister from rain in there with it.
