ok guys im looking into a 1988 bronco II. it has a 2.9 v6 with a manual trans. the engine starts just fine but when you go to put it into a gear the engine will cut off. the guy selling it says the machnic told him he needed a trans. could it be something else that could cause this?
the guy is asking $500 obo for it, i just want it to hall the dogs in and stuff like that. i can get a trans from the local junkyard for $75 with a warrenty so im not too worried about replacing the trans, just wanted to ask someone that has more exprence with fords( if i do get it it will be my first one....
