I had a bit of a fender-bender in my 2002 F-350 in February and the horns were busted up. Body shop replaced them, but the tone is now more like that of a 2005 Taurus, than my F-350 Turbo Diesel.
I don't want to get air horns or any tinny replacements. I was wondering if anyone has a lead on getting the appropriate sounding Ford horns. ?? Silly, I know, but I like the low - loud tone of my old horns.
My 14 year old duaghter calls the new ones "Sally Pants" horns. Please, for God's sake, save me from such embarassment.
I remember the old Ford horns from the 60's & 70's had a screw that could be turned to adjust the tone, no such luck on the new ones.
It sounds like the body shop has installed two high or two low tone horns instead of one high and one low. You can look at the horns they will say high or low on them.
