04 explorer hood paint issue

04 explorer hood paint issue
I'm looking at buying a 04 explorer, the only problem is on the hood edge.
The paint is chipping and bubbling up towards the corners.
I was told by several people that ford put aluminum hoods on the Explorers, And the paint didnt adhere to the aluminum as well as it should have.
I've only seen one other explorer with hood paint chipping.
So is this a common issue?
