Sweet!

I keep trying to talk the wife into letting me do this mod to her Ex, but she's undecided as of right now.

Where did you get the OEM nerf bars at?

one has some chrome chipping from the bottom, maybe if it gets worse i'll get it rechromed somtime down the road. you cant really notice it the way it is. i figured for the price its awsome.

Looks good. I'm looking to do the same.

Did all the mounts and holes line up or was there some drilling?

nope all lined up perfectly. removed the stock boards. lifted the step bars in place and bolted them on. they use less bolts/mouting points then the stock black ones so you'll have extra unused screws/clips.

Looks great. Would love to do that. Gives your truck a lifted look to it. Great find and mod.

Looks good and plenty strong enough. I also like your painted grill. I've been thinking of painting mine also.Just the honeycomb part.

I have thought about this also, but my father-in-law has the nerf bar steps on his F-350 and in the winter the snow and slush builds up between the bar and rocker panel making the step virtually useless, especially when the slush freezed into a huge chunk of ice. It sure does look better tho!

Too bad we aren't close enough...
I would have traded my ex's nerf bars for the plastic running boards in a new york second

just my preference (or having the boards on the 1st 2 ex's I had)

Looks good, love the color of your truck

I want to get some serious nerf bars that I can use in case I ever have to punt somebody out of my way w them

Might have some solid tubes made to bolt directly to frame

funny you mention snow...we got about 4" today and ofcourse it built up on them. but luckly the excusion spends its nights in a nice warm garage so any ice/snow that gets on her during the day melts off.

she is slightly lifted, 3" over stock anyhow.

thanks for the compliments! i'll try to get a few better pics once it drys out an stops snowing.
