I know the 86 my dad had was equipped with the drivers and passenger seats with two armrests per seat, I'm just wondering when they stopped making the seats like that in the Broncos? Softly looking for one and that is one of the things I want in the truck I get. I think from what I've seen while looking this was in trucks equipped with power windows and locks. My preference is with the pre 87 style for Broncos but still wondering how long the seats went on like that.
All seats in all years of Broncos swap around, and they only got nicer as the years went on. You can swap the nice, full leather seats from a '96 into an '80 if you wanted.
As for the ones you're describing, I believe they came in the higher end Broncos. The more luxury and features, the more likely to have the full back, double arm rest seats.
Seats in FULL SIZE Broncos will swap. Most even have both sets of mounting holes in the floor for the bench and the buckets. Just have to dig around under the carpet to find the other set.
That's ok, the vast majority of the "EB" (that's early Bronco not Eddie Bauer) guys don't accept the full size as a part of their little band of brothers anyway. But I do my best to remind everyone that both versions carry the badge.
I even struggle to give the "deuce" its due. Small, underpowered, relatively unstable due to height and narrow wheelbase... just kind of makes me cringe... the "II" while bearing the Bronco name, is a different model as far as I am concerned simply because it was produced at the same time its bigger cousin was.
Sounds good, thanks guys! When did the shoulder belts in the back seats start for the broncos?
Shoulder harness rear seat belts premiered in 1992. The same year marked the high-mount stop lamp/cargo lamp assembly above the rear glass in the top. However, as a result of these two changes, Ford took to putting tamper-proof Torx hardware in to secure the top to the truck and deleted the instructions for removing the top from the owners manual.
When you say all full size seats swap around, does this include 78 and 79
Thanks

I believe so, yes. That also includes the rear bench. I'm using a 90's F-150 bench seat in my 78 Bronco. A couple of the factory seat bolt inserts have stripped out or rusted thru, and I'm using a bit larger Gr-8 bolt with large washers, but the same stock holes.
I believe the O.P. style of seat was referred to as "Captain's Chairs", which are high-back buscket seats w/ arm rests. The other style of bucket seat was a lower-back version w/o armrests. My 88 Custom model Bronco had those in it.
Some or most other Ford truck, van and car seats will also fit the Fullsize Bronco. In case the seat mounting brackets do not line up with the factory Bronco floor holes, you can usually swap the other-car seats onto the Bronco seat mounting brackets. Just beware of any seat that's taller than the stock factory CC buckets. I've seen a few mounted to the flip-up passngr seat bracket that would hit the windshield. JSM84
