A couple days ago I discovered while making a quick right turn (Sliding a little bit ) that the steering wheel gets stuck sometimes! In trying to make it do it, I can only get it to do this in quick right turns. Lefts fine and if I'm not driving like a donkey it's fine. But it still raises a bit of concern, let me try to explain it... you know how when you turn the wheel and when you let off it's supposed to go back to center, in these turns it won't return and I kinda have to yank the wheel back, it's not a full on lock into place, just gets kinda hung up on something.
Anyways, has anyone ever run into this or have any idea what could be causing it? Once I get new tires I'm gonna take it to a suspension shop and have the alignment all checked out and make sure all the suspension parts are tight, and while I'm there I might want to see if they can fix it.
well the spindle was loose, but the reason it was loose is because the bearings are shot!
So I tightened it up as much as I could just to get me moving and a little safer, but probably next weekend I gotta replace the bearings, anyone know about how much a bearing press is?
well it is early here and maybe I am half asleep, but is this for a Ford Ranger. I just changed the wheel bearings on my 2wd, it is straight forward. I thought some of the 4wd had sealed unit that you replace....some of them have an abs senosr in them......I think......gonna get some coffee

I see you have a 92 ranger is it 2wd or 4wd? where do you press the bearings into.......on mine you could press new races into the rotor but I was replacing my rotors and they came with new races.......maybe the 4wd is different..... I like learning new things about these trucks.thanks for educating me.....
