Windshield trim

I am a newbie with a quick question--

I have a '65 Standard Cab and just bought a Custom Cab windshield trim. If I buy a new CC windshield rubber seal will it work with my trim and windshield? Or is there something different on the Standard Cab vs. CC windshield frame? I have read there may be a difference in the CC windshield lip.

I appreciate your thoughts, Ken.

there is no difference between the windshield frame of the cab, and...
Dennis Carpenter windshield rubber seal is the best. they have the original tooling.

Bill is spot on. Plus the trim needs to be installed in the rubber and on the windshield at the same time then installed in the opening.

Installed the trim on 65 standard cab with no problem. Had it done at auto glass shop, provided the CC trim gasket, and they recommended using a sealant. Was not sure, understand not necessary but the fact my other 65 gasket leaks I decided to let them use it. This was a few yrs. back and so far no problem.

I remember all this when I replaced my windshield. So when done last summer it was decided not to use any sealant since that was original and the installer agreed. Well it just went through it's first rainy season with flying colors. Of course, my lip was in excellent shape and I removed all spot welding burrs before hand.
