Will this be the same for a 66 F250?

There are exceptions that you are unaware of.

Dual piston caliper disc brakes were an option on 1968/72 F250 2WD's (and F350's).

1973/79 F250 2WD: There were TWO different types of disc brakes offered on these trucks, the parts do not interchange.

All F250's with a GVW of 6200 lbs. & some with a GVW of 6900 lbs. have SINGLE piston calipers.

Everything else has DUAL piston calipers.

Single piston caliper disc brakes are the least desireable. Replacement parts can be a b!tch to find.

With single piston calipers, the disc pads (for one thing) are different than with dual piston calipers. There are two different types (1973/75 & 1976/79). They do not interchange.

CAVEAT EMPTOR

When buying a 1973/79 F100 for use as a donor truck...be aware that manual disc brakes were standard equipment. POWER disc brakes were optional!

1973/79 F100 2WD & 1975/79 F150 2WD: Power steering was an option. Not all these trucks have it.

Bill, That doesn't change his answer. One can still purchase a 250 donor and swap the parts for the disc brake upgrade.
