Lock outs on unit bearings

Does anyone know if lock out hubs will be offered on
unit bearings?
Especially on modern Explorers.

I know Jeeps have them.

I donʻt know if they would be useful, but it would bring back the good old days
of getting out to lock your hubs.

modern Exp have automatic 4 wheel drive. The computer locks or unlocks the front end depending on slipage noted between the wheels. No need to go outside. YOu really dont need to do anything inside either-- computer does it all.

Sure would be good to unlock all the hubs to flat tow.
We have an 07 Explorer and the 4x system does work well.

Do current Superduties run unit bearings? ESOF?

There IS a flat tow "kit" of some sort that is/was available from Ford for some of the Explorers. I don't know much about it or what models it applied to though. There's also a "brown wire " mod for the auto 4WD's to prevent automatic engagement of the front until YOU choose.
