The frame perches from any truck with a 460 up to 1979 will bolt right in after you grind the old rivets off. Then you can use the factory mounts. Donor truck would be your best bet, rob what you need, sell some more and shred the rest, You'll probably make money.
The factory 2WD 460 perches will not bolt in to the earlier 4x4 frames; they are significantly different. Your '66 4x4 is actually a '64 type frame and cab with '66 trim.
There are after-market motor mounts made to put a 460 in pre-'65 trucks, but several that I know of who have used them in 4x2 trucks regretted it. They are not strong enough to handle the 460 torque to the point that one user nearly had a 460 fan blade for a hood ornament.
These may work as the frames are the same width. Backing frame plates and new holes will need to be drilled. All this will need to be worked out as custom as the 66 frame is the first year of the coil spring front axle.

Brother John, Call me on the 602 line you fergot something!
I just picked up a 76 F250 4x4 with what the PO said was a 79 429 engine, but sense Ford did not make a 429 after 73, I will have yet to figure it out, most likey a 460. It looks like they used the original trans and transfer case with a 460 bellhousing. I have to go over this next weekend to do some work on it, I will look at the mounts and see if I can tell what was done. Truck is about 160 miles from me.
Aw shucks. I sure thought the '66 4wd was the same as '64 cabs.
Waaaeeelll, I reckon I got the why it won't work wrong - even if I got the answer right.
Although I am glad you corrected it, Bill!
Thanx for all the info. Im looking into a 66 4x4 thats near my house and it doesnt have the factory motor but the PO is including a 460 witha c6 and transfer case. He only wants $750 total.
There are other mounts out there but the L&L are the stoutest. You will need to basically throw away and cut out all the stock stuff and custom mount it. Also your case is mated for 1966 and may or may not need different trans mount.
Before you buy it look to the VIN if it is a true factory 4x4 it will have a F11 as the first three digits of the VIN.
