well, as you know i have a 2009 F150 STX 2wd Supercab. it's bare bones, not much to it. rubber floors, tinny stereo, loud engine drone, it's a work truck dressed up to look like an FX4. i can't keep count of how many times I've gotten stuck, sworn like a frickin' rapper, and regretted not having 4x4. I've also found that with 2 rear-facing child seats i find my knees pressed up against the dash to fit the kids in the back. and it's inconvenient to get in and out of the back if you are just dropping someone off. so, after some thought and consideration, I've decided to upgrade....to another F150. i really do love my STX, but getting a better version of my truck is even better. so I've decided to go for the FX4 SuperCrew. I have my option list printed out, and it's tasty. Sony stereo, Sync, Sunroof, tow mirrors, backup camera...etc. i want to get candy red with two tone, but i can't, so i want to see pics of a vermillion red FX4 with two tone if you have one. that would be great!

 

Is this the color you are referring to? Mine is an 09 FX4 Screw Razor Red Metallic.

 

i really hate when manufacturers change their color names, but i think Vermillion Red is the same as Razor Red, (somebody wanna clarify?) that is a very nice color combination, and if they are the same, i will consider it, even though i have never been a red type of guy, that looks pretty nice.

 

To my knowledge its the only tri-coat Ford offers other than the Pearl white on the Platinums. The picture quality sucks as they were taken on my Blackberry, but the color is much deeper/richer in person. I get lots of compliments on it.

 

sorry but Ford doesn't offer the two-tone on the FX4 anymore (starting in 2010). You could try to find a used 09 if you want.

Vermillion red is different. But Razor Red and Red Candy are the same (have the same paint code), they just changed the name for some reason.

 

it is still available in Canada fortunately.

yeah, Razor/Candy looks gorgeous with the two tone. my dealer has done special orders for me in the past, (because i also want to special order an FX4 with a column shift and 6th seat instead of the console shift) so I'll just order it that way.
