Wind Whistle with bug shield.

Has anyone experienced a wind whistle from what sounds like the drives side front after the bug shield has been installed?

Do you have the full Smoked plastic one or the shorty chrome one? I have the full one!

I took the shield off today and the whistle is gone! I will contact the dealer this week and see what they say. Hope they are good about it.

Hey, I just installed a Bug Deflector II on my 2010 and now I have a annoying whistle at 70-80 mph. I removed it and the noise is gone. I will attempt to return it tomorrow and get a different one.

I had an issue with a 05 chevy .. I called the mfg and they stated the oem changed the window gasket and it actually created the issue ,, so I had to run a bead of clear silicone around the loose flap on the gasket .. problem solved ,, but a little bit lame IMHO ps I tested it with scotch tape before I commited

Tape the window seams with blue painters tape and see if it goes away.

X2 on my GM truck I got a roll of 3M double sided trim tape. I installed this and the wind noise went away. I'd try some blue painters tape and see if that helps with the noise. I would apply around the entire windshield and go from there.

Also, the platinum has a different windshield then the regular F-150, that may cause some differences in noise. His truck may make that noise but he may not hear it due to the added insulation.

I taped around the entire windsheild and drove it.......still whistled

I left the windsheild tape and added tape around the whole hood......still whistled

I left all that tape and then taped under the bug deflector, I filled the gap between the grille and deflector.....almost completely gone, just a slight whistle

Also, my friend has the same truck except his doesn't have the chrome package so his grill is different. He also has the same deflector as I do and his has the same whistle. so, the grille doesn't make a difference.
