Send them an email asking about the truck. If it's not a typo they will tell you the truck is at a shipping yard ready to be shipped when ebay receives the money. If you will look the truck will not even be listed on ebay so ebay isn't even envolved with the truck.
Locally on craigs list that happens all the time. Some of which give you an inbox full of junk mail and the others are typo's or in my opinion way for the lot selling the truck to generate intrest in their products.
Example of typo even though they listed it for 55,000 lol with a salvaged title no less. I haven't seen an example of the scam today.
The deals are out there. I just traded my 2002 super cab ranger 4x4, 4.0L. It had a nice lift wheels and tires and was in great condition at 117,000mi. I got 8,000+ in trade value which was in line with blue book trade value. The lot then had if for sell with a price tag of 8900 but had it listed with a 3.0L. Listing it as a 3.0L was at least a 1,500 dolar mistake on their part and the truck sold in less than 3 days. Mistakes are made I think
I bought a GMC sierra (ya, ya a chevy) from a Ford dealer in Ohio back in 96, it was on the lot for something around $7500 and there was a same year GMC v6 work truck for $3500 on the lot also. I had the truck trader add in my hand that stated "bring this add to assure sale price" , but in the add the truck pictures were mixed up.
Long story short, after a nice talk with the used car sales manager I drove off in the loaded truck for $3500....
