strange noise when accelerating from c6 trans
I just recently bought a 1976 F100 with a 360 and c6 trans. I had a noise that I could of swore was the power steering pump, but after replacing it and the noise still was there I knew I was wrong. It only makes the noise when I accelerate and it is coming from the trans. I heard it this morning while the truck was warming up with the choke so I crawled under and heard it there. It is high picked almost like a bearing or a pump that is sticking. any ideas?
