Lifter noises??

Lifter noises??
I have the original 302 in my 79 sb with 86K miles and I'm starting to get what sounds like to me lifter noise. I believe the 302s did not have adjustable rockers is this correct??

no, just stamped steel run of the mill lifters, unless someone's been in there over the years. Could be low on oil, could just be a gummed up lifter??? who knows

You may have run low on oil or had some trash in it. Every engine i've had with lifter peck needed cam bearings.
