on my 94 (we take the same bulbs) you pop the hood open, stand on something, mark or make note of how the bulb is in there. (i have 'up' marked on mine) this make it easier to line back up when installing. grab the bulb and twist counterclockwise, pull the bulb out, disconnect the electrical connector. Put cotton gloves on to avoid getting any skin grease on the new bulb. Insert connector into new bulb. Insert new bulb into housing. twist clockwise to lock it in place one you get it in right.

The PITA part is its a tight fit in there if you have large hands. I find it easier to pull/install with the connector on myself as sometime I have to work by holding the wires a bit. My hands 'just' fit.

You do not have to remove the headlight assembly.

You need a special tool (looks like a fork that dropped in the garbage disposal) to do w/ the headlight mounting panel on otherwise you need to remove the entire headlight mounting panel so you can get to all of the clips. Remove the headlight doors w/ sidemarkers & turnsignals; screws under hood & 2 11mm nuts through the rad support. Remove the grille; screws under hood & lift out. Remove headlight mounting panel 8mm bolts on sides, center, and bottom. Once you remove panel set face/headlights down & "pop" the clips off the headlight mount/adjusters. Remove old replace w/ new. reverse procedure to install.

IDK, probably, I dont know what it's called, but I've always revered toit as a "Ford headlight removal tool" and everyone usually knows what I'm talking about. Ford is the only one I know of that used this type of headlight mount. I think I gaot mine from NAPA but that was a few years ago.
